The following strategies will be implemented:

Rubric for Problem Solving:

Students will be given a problem solving rubric that will be used throughout their high school math career. Students will have a chance to self score their performance tasks. This will show students what I am looking for as well as give students a time to self reflect on their problem solving strategies.

SmartNotebook:

Smart Notebook will be used to provide questions to my students in which they can move blocks to get hints on how to solve a problem.This will provide students with interactive activities in which they can interact with. Students can also can use the Notebook to construct a representation for the problem.

EDpuzzle:

EDpuzzle would be used for students can have assistance when practicing at home. Since multiple practice problems will be given, students can access these videos at home or during class. With the embedded questions and audio notes, students will have assistance as if the teacher was helping them.

Performance Tasks:

Students will complete 3 to 4 performance tasks so progress can be monitored and improvement can be seen. Tasks will vary but focus on problem solving strategies and applying skills learned in class.

Workshops:

Students will work in groups in order to share problem solving strategies and how to apply basic skills to problems. The goal is to improve collaboration among my students to make themselves, as well as others, better problem solvers.

Google Classroom:

Students will posts mind maps to the class site in order to share strategies with their peers. The teacher can also upload all the files that have been made to assist students with improving their problem solving strategies.
